3 Things To Know

Did you ever wish you knew things about everything?

3 Things To Know - Did you ever wish you knew things about everything?

Vending Machines

1) Before entering money into the machine make sure you already know what you want. This prevents splurge shopping and makes sure you are getting what you want.
2) If your machine only takes change go to the one next to it and put your money in then press the refund button.
3) The classic amateur mistake is getting zero for one’d. Sure you might really want those Skittles, but if it looks as though they might not actually come out reevaluate your selection before you end up empty handed and out of money. On the other hand two for one’s are perfectly legal and strongly encouraged.

Eating At Chipotle

1) While they may not be seen on the menu, Chipotle can make quesadillas of any type.
2) When choosing between a burrito and a burrito bowl remember you will often get more food in the burrito bowl and can ask for a couple flour tortillas on the side for no charge to make two burritos for the price of one.
3) If you are ordering chips along with your burrito or burrito bowl remember to ask for an extra cup of salsa with your burrito since it is free, just chips are about one dollar cheaper than chips and salsa.

Buying Candy In A Candy Store

1) Always get a separate bag for candies that are sugar coated (Sour Patch Kids) and those that are not (Gummy Bears). This will prevent the gummy bears from tasting like Sour Patch Kids. Plus, it just makes sense since kids should stay away from bears, anyway.
2. Never buy Skittles, Starburst, or other generic candies. This goes for drinks too. Chances are high that they are overpriced and you can normally get a better deal at your local convenient store.
3. Always buy a Ring Pop. You never know when you will need to surprise a girl with both sweets AND jewelry. BazookaJoe now makes a sugar free version with only 30 calories in a variety of flavors to choose from (Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, and Watermelon).

Eating At McDonald’s

1) Never order a Sausage Egg McMuffin. Instead get the Sausage McMuffin off the dollar menu and order an egg by itself separately. This will save you about a dollar per sandwich, and despite what you might have learned or not learned from Big Daddy, breakfast ends at 10:30am during the week and 11:00am on weekends.
2) Small sandwich combos such as the double cheeseburger are not really combos at all. If you add up the prices for the items in the combo meal, it will most likely end up being the same. Therefore it will sometimes be cheaper to buy everything separately.
3) Always ask the cashier if they have any coupons they are giving out. Often times, the kids running the counter will be too lazy to give out the coupons they are supposed to give out to every customer. The best time to get coupons is around 1pm to 3pm, but they could have them at anytime.

Selecting The Gum You Chew Based On The Girl You Want To Attract

1) If you want to attract a good, clean girl, chew Orbit gum; it can clean up the dirtiest of mouths.
2) If you want to attract a spicy girl with fiery passion try Dentyne. It lets her know you’re just as feisty as she is.
3) If you want to attract a girl that likes bad boys, chew Fruit Stripe. Not only do you get to chew gum, but you get a tattoo with each piece. Guys with tattoos are bad boys and no tattoo is more bad-ass than a zebra or an elephant.

Getting Seated Quickly At Packed Restaurants

1) Use your best charm when speaking with the hostess. Some good tips: always refer to your hostess by name (they have a name tag on for a reason), compliment them about their style or their appearance.
2) Use the past to your advantage by saying things like “Did I speak with you on the phone earlier about getting seated?” or “The last time we were here the service wasn’t up to standards and the manager said you would take care of us the next time we were in” should help do the trick.
3) If you didn’t make reservations and you are with a big group, offer to be split up into two sets. It is more likely they will have two tables of four rather than one table for eight. Don’t feel bad if you and your friends aren’t all eating together, at a table that large it is tough for everyone to interact with each other (besides you probably didn’t want to sit next to that one guy anyway).

Croutons

1) When you buy a bag of croutons, often you may have the temptation to eat a handful straight from the bag as a snack. Do not do this! They won’t fill you up at all because they’re so small, and you will have wasted 1-3 salads worth of croutons. The value of a crouton on a salad is much higher and will add much more to a future meal than eating one straight from a bag.
2) Croutons are just baked and seasoned bread crust. If you ever run out on accident and realize you need croutons for an important event like a blind date or Bar Mitzvah, in a pinch you can just toast a piece of bread, coat it with butter, put a little seasoning on them if you have any around, toast it lightly again to cook the butter in, and then rip it into pieces and put it on a salad. They’ll work just as well as store-bought ones, and it only takes a few minutes! If anybody questions your croutons because they’re dark or not cut perfectly, just tell them that these are a gourmet crouton brand.
3) When you’re putting croutons on a salad, positioning is everything! If you just haphazardly toss a bunch on top, then the person eating them will eat all of the croutons first as a natural impulse and then have none left to go with the rest of the salad. Instead, put a couple in the bottom of the bowl first and then put a few more on top. That way, the person is in for a welcome crouton surprise when they think they have no croutons left. Girls love croutons, so especially keep this in mind if you’re on a date. You can really impress a girl this way.

Great Las Vegas Restaurants

1) Cut by Wolfgang Puck in the Palazzo. By far, one of the best steakhouses around. They bring out the meat before it is cut to show you what pieces you will be eating. The service there is top notch and the music they play there is really enjoyable. A lot of places in Las Vegas play stuffy, boring classical music but Cut plays more upbeat classics from the ’80s and ’90s which is a refreshing change of pace.
2) Musashi. This is a perennial favorite among many. It’s a hibachi-style restaurant that also has a sushi bar. The hibachi chefs love to show you a great time and have personality when cooking the meal for you. The servings are massive and the food is mmm mmm good. More so, there are 5 or so sauces you can put on everything that keeps things interesting and they are all really tasty. This place redefines hibachi.
3) Julian Serrano. When it comes to tapas, this is the place to go. It’s located in the Aria so the decor inside is magnificent and for those who don’t know, Serrano is the man behind Picasso, one of the most expensive and highly touted restaurants in Vegas. So, it’s hard for a chef of this caliber to put his name on a restaurant and not make it great. There are tons of things to get that are good like their raspberry tuna tapas or their white ceviche. It’s really hard to go wrong at this place.

Getting Your Meal Comped

1) Ask to speak with the manager as soon as a problem arises. Allowing problems to compound will only make you unhappy, regardless of how free the meal is.
2) Match your solution to the problem, know what you want out of him before even asking to see the manager.
3) When speaking to the manager speak loud enough so other customers hear you complain but not too loud where you cause a scene. This will make him more likely to do what you want.

Eating At Wendy’s

1) Even though at most Wendy’s the soda machine is behind the counter there are still free refills.
2) Most of the time there will be a price discrepancy and it will actually be cheaper if you buy multiple orders of a five piece nugget rather than a larger count one or vice versa (You can even order a side salad and a five piece nugget to make your own salad with chicken for less than half the price).
3) Most of the time they give you a straw when you order a Frosty, but you can never use it because it is too thick. Instead enjoy your Frosty with a spoon.
