How To Not Get Picked Last At Dodgeball

1) During the line-up, remember the most important thing is to look like you can play. While all the other shmucks are standing around, you should be stretching nonchalantly—squats and leg lifts are a solid way to show you’re in tip-top shape, yet totally uninterested in the picking process. Once done stretching, casually wiggle your right leg back and forth as if you kick balls in your sleep.
2) Be the captain. If all else fails, appeal to the coach or gym teacher to put you in charge of the picking. Use sports knowledge, sports trivia and stories (“So last year in the APC dodgeball championship game, I noticed…”) to impress the powers-that-be and show you’re worthy of leading the team (and therefore eliminating yourself from the draft.)
3) If down to the final two and your reputation is on the line, run over to any team before the pick is even made and go for high fives. People love high fives, and will probably forget they didn’t even really want you on the team in the first place.
